Now, this is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is perhaps, the end of the beginning...

I've Finally Found Someone - Brian Adams & Barbara Streisand
I finally found someone, that knocks me off my feet
I finally found the one, that makes me feel complete
Barbra:
We started over coffee, we started out as friends
It's funny how from simple things, the best things begin
Bryan:
This time it's different,
Barbra:
Dah dah dah dah
Bryan:
It's all because of you,
Barbra:
Dah dah dah dah
Bryan:
It's better than it's ever been
Both:
'Cause we can talk it through
Barbra:
Oohh, my favorite line was "Can I call you sometime?"
It's all you had to say
Both:
To take my breath away
This is it, oh, I finally found someone
Someone to share my life
I finally found the one, to be with every night
Barbra:
'Cause whatever I do,
Bryan:
It's just got to be you
My life has just begun
I finally found someone,
Barbra:
Ooh, someone
Bryan:
I finally found someone,
Barbra:
Oooh . . .
Bryan:
Did I keep you waiting,
Barbra:
I didn't mind
Bryan:
I apologize,
Barbra:
Baby, that's fine
Bryan:
I would wait forever
Both:
Just to know you were mine
Bryan:
You know I love your hair,
Barbra:
Are you sure it looks right?
Bryan:
I love what you wear,
Barbra:
Isn't it the time?
Bryan:
You're exceptional,
Both:
I can't wait for the rest of my life . . .
This is it, oh, I finally found someone
Someone to share my life
I finally found the one, to be with every night
Barbra:
'Cause whatever I do,
Bryan:
It's just got to be you
My life has just begun
I finally found someone,
Barbra:
Whatever I do,
Bryan:
It's just got to be you
Both:
My life has just begun
I finally found someone

Love Story - Taylor Swift
We were both young when I first saw you.
I close my eyes and the flashback starts:
I'm standing there on a balcony in summer air.
See the lights, see the party, the ball gowns.
See you make your way through the crowdand say hello;
Little did I know
That you were Romeo;
you were throwing pebbles,
And my daddy said, "Stay away from Juliet."
And I was crying on the staircase, begging you,
'Please, don't go.'"
And I said,"Romeo, take me somewhere we can be alone.
I'll be waiting; all there's left to do is run.
You'll be the prince and I'll be the princess
It's a love story - baby just say 'Yes.'
"So I sneak out to the garden to see you.
We keep quiet 'cause we're dead if they knew.
So close your eyes; escape this town for a little while.'
Cause you were Romeo, I was a scarlet letter,
And my daddy said "Stay away from Juliet,"
But you were everything to me;
I was begging you, 'Please, don't go,'"
And I said,"Romeo, take me somewhere we can be alone.
I'll be waiting; all there's left to do is run.
You'll be the prince and I'll be the princess
It's a love story - baby just say 'Yes.'
Romeo save me - they're tryin' to tell me how to feel;
This love is difficult, but it's real.
Don't be afraid; we'll make it out of this mess.
It's a love story - baby just say "Yes.'"
Oh, oh.
I got tired of waiting,
Wondering if you were ever comin' around.
My faith in you was fading
When I met you on the outskirts of town,
And I said,"Romeo save me - I've been feeling so alone.
I keep waiting for you but you never come.
Is this in thy head? I don't know what to think-
"He knelt to the ground and pulled out a ring and said,
"Marry me, Juliet - you'll never have to be alone.
I love you and that's all I really know.
I talked to your dad - go pick out a white dress;
It's a love story - baby just say 'Yes.'"
Oh, oh. Oh, oh.
'Cause we were both young when I first saw you...

When Love Story (Taylor Swift) meets Viva La Vida (Coldplay), the strings slides on the keys, lovely combination!
i loved the pizzicato on the cello!! i loved the way the songs blend in, the way they jammed... i loved everything about it~ hope you'll like it too...
Here are the lyrics:

周杰伦 - 说好的幸福呢 MV Eng Sub
Funny, i end up in tears, instead.
But that's besides the point.
So, if you are not feeling too depressed, i'll like to share a rather touching video with you...
Guess what? It even had English Subtitles.. ^^ (especially for the ones with weak Chinese language command like me)
DENIAL - ANGER - BARGAINING- DEPRESSION - ACCEPTANCE
p/s: It's a very simple song.Yet it portrays the emotion of losing. Like sometimes you hang on to something, trying your best not to let go. It starts with a calm melancholic tone, solo piano, single chords. Then the sad violin come in. Then the other strings comes in, creating a climax of confusion, struggling. You ran out of breathe asking questions with no answers. You tried making up answers to fill in the gap. You tried to put the blame on yourself. The drums plays a beat. The beats added pace, momentum.. the you feel the lost, the pain sips in, the feeling of wanting to hold on rips you apart. Repeated notes tried to calm you, yet the moment had past, the lost is there. and you realized, things will never be the same again.
(or at least that was what i felt.. sorry, very emo today...)
p/ss: ShinLoo & Sook Jiuan, do you still remember how crazy we were over Jay Chau during high school? silly right? i think what's interesting about Jay (in my personal opinion), is that he's just like a regular guy next door. Not exceptionally good looking, or having awesome vocals, yet his songs can touch your hearts and leave footprints behind. He is somewhat different.
Wang Lee Hom, on the other hand, is almost flawless... haha... but i'll leave that for another day ^^
p/sss: i did feel a little kesian for the grand piano... between those grass... (rosaklar, the piano...)

Poll Results : Love
90% of my readers believe in Love.. that's a good thing right.. there are however 9% of readers, which all of them are girls, who didn't believe in love... i would add a continuous question: like why? why do you believe in love? and why did you not believe in love?? have you been hurt so badly that you never thought you could love again?? or do you think love is all made up??
If you note closely, all the guys actually believed in love..
Prof T Maniam, my lecturer once said: LOVE is a delusion. To treat this delusion, you need to induce acute psychosis, in which results in getting married. After that, you will fall back to reality... (i know, it's a cold subtle joke, if you get what i mean..)
Interestingly, more than half (53%) of my readers thinks that men are cheaters. Another strong 40% of the population (which were all men), stood up for their species, claiming: not all men are cheaters. If calculate further, you can see that 82% of the girls (28x100/34) thinks that all men are cheaters while 61% of the guys disagrees with this.
Looking at this pattern, you can see that if you are a girl, and you cheat, you have 43% (28x100/65) chances to be forgiven.
However, if you are a guy, and you cheat, you have 17.7 % (6x100/34) chance to be forgiven.
So, bottom line, don't cheat lar.. even more when you are a guy.... however tempting the fruits of your neighbor may be, however seducing is the girl next door...
WOW! this poll surprised me the most! 39% of guys (25/65) cheated before, at some point of their lives.. and i'm talking about guys who reads 'serious' blog like mine, who are assumingly less of a playboy? no, i'm not expecting a clean zero statistic, with everyone claiming that they have never cheater before.. but see, guys do cheat, and 39% already cheated before the age of 30 (assuming that the majority of my readers are 30 and below)... and these are the data of people who dares to admit it...
girls, don't laugh, as 8% (3/34) of the girls cheats too. when i count down further to the final statistic, the 3% of girl cheaters take account for ONE person. so, you know who you are la.. hehe...
64% of the readers say YES. Which i think is not too bad. When break down further, 72% of the guys and 55% of girls says YES.
Well, the good thing is, love is NOT hurtful and full of lies.... sometimes, we meet people who made us believe that it is so...
You would have probably heard about the third letter #3, if you watch Sex& the City, as it was is the letter Mr Big quotes to Carrie.
Beethoven - Love Letters of Great Men : Letter #1
July 6, in the morning
My angel, my all, my very self - Only a few words today and at that with pencil (with yours) - Not till tomorrow will my lodgings be definitely determined upon - what a useless waste of time - Why this deep sorrow when necessity speaks - can our love endure except through sacrifices, through not demanding everything from one another; can you change the fact that you are not wholly mine, I not wholly thine - Oh God, look out into the beauties of nature and comfort your heart with that which must be - Love demands everything and that very justly - thus it is to me with you, and to your with me. But you forget so easily that I must live for me and for you; if we were wholly united you would feel the pain of it as little as I - My journey was a fearful one; I did not reach here until 4 o'clock yesterday morning. Lacking horses the post-coach chose another route, but what an awful one; at the stage before the last I was warned not to travel at night; I was made fearful of a forest, but that only made me the more eager - and I was wrong. The coach must needs break down on the wretched road, a bottomless mud road. Without such postilions as I had with me I should have remained stuck in the road. Esterhazy, traveling the usual road here, had the same fate with eight horses that I had with four - Yet I got some pleasure out of it, as I always do when I successfully overcome difficulties - Now a quick change to things internal from things external. We shall surely see each other soon; moreover, today I cannot share with you the thoughts I have had during these last few days touching my own life - If our hearts were always close together, I would have none of these. My heart is full of so many things to say to you - ah - there are moments when I feel that speech amounts to nothing at all - Cheer up - remain my true, my only treasure, my all as I am yours. The gods must send us the rest, what for us must and shall be -
Your faithful LUDWIG.
Beethoven - Love Letters of Great Men: Letter #2
Evening, Monday, July 6
You are suffering, my dearest creature - only now have I learned that letters must be posted very early in the morning on Mondays to Thursdays - the only days on which the mail-coach goes from here to K. - You are suffering - Ah, wherever I am, there you are also - I will arrange it with you and me that I can live with you. What a life!!! thus!!! without you - pursued by the goodness of mankind hither and thither - which I as little want to deserve as I deserve it - Humility of man towards man - it pains me - and when I consider myself in relation to the universe, what am I and what is He - whom we call the greatest - and yet - herein lies the divine in man - I weep when I reflect that you will probably not receive the first report from me until Saturday - Much as you love me - I love you more - But do not ever conceal yourself from me - good night - As I am taking the baths I must go to bed - Oh God - so near! so far! Is not our love truly a heavenly structure, and also as firm as the vault of heaven?
Beethoven - Love Letters of Great Men: Letter #3
Good morning, on July 7
Though still in bed, my thoughts go out to you, my Immortal Beloved, now and then joyfully, then sadly, waiting to learn whether or not fate will hear us - I can live only wholly with you or not at all - Yes, I am resolved to wander so long away from you until I can fly to your arms and say that I am really at home with you, and can send my soul enwrapped in you into the land of spirits - Yes, unhappily it must be so - You will be the more contained since you know my fidelity to you. No one else can ever possess my heart - never - never - Oh God, why must one be parted from one whom one so loves. And yet my life in V is now a wretched life - Your love makes me at once the happiest and the unhappiest of men - At my age I need a steady, quiet life - can that be so in our connection? My angel, I have just been told that the mailcoach goes every day - therefore I must close at once so that you may receive the letter at once - Be calm, only by a calm consideration of our existence can we achieve our purpose to live together - Be calm - love me - today - yesterday - what tearful longings for you - you - you - my life - my all - farewell. Oh continue to love me - never misjudge the most faithful heart of your beloved.
ever thine
ever mine
ever ours
These letters were found in Beethoven's desk after he died. They were not addressed to anybody, so it is impossible to know who he was writing to. Historians feel they were written to a married woman who he loved dearly, and who was leaving the city at the time of these letters.
So sad.... she didn't received the letters.... *sob* *sob*...

Nah Youn Sun, Korean Jazz Vocalist - what a performance!
I've just got back from Nah Youn Sun's Jazz Concert at the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra(MPO), Kuala Lumpur Conventional Centre (KLCC).... and it was - AWESOME!!! I have never heard such an impressive vocalist performance... Listening to her sing, takes your breathe away, quite literally... you feel your soul being sucked out from your body, as it lingers and sways with the song... you being hypnotized by her voice, her music... the music fills the space, and all there is, is just you and her...Nah Youn Sun voice is so versatile, almost like a an instrument... she can sing any note, hitting those high octaves and going deep and mallow... she can sing even with her 'breathe' !! and do the lip smacking thing ! Listening to her, makes me feel that the conventional modern pop artist (not going to give examples here), well, they are not good enough... THIS IS WHAT YOU CALL SINGGING~~
Her back-up quintet was very impressive as well, with:
1. the pianist - very impressive, loved the jazz jamming... and he plays the keyboard and the piano (did i say both at the same time?)
2. the guitarist - yes, you can play jazz on a regular guitar... really fast....
3. the bass - cool, electrically shocking... there was one part where he plucked the guitar like the way you play the cello, upright.... wow, i didn't know you can do that!
4. the percussionist - so fun seeing all his percussion! and the sounds can make your mind fly..
5. the drummer - super cool drummer! with feel~ but i secretly think that my brother, Tuan Yuan can play better than him... hehe... fyi, my brother plays for his school chinese drum band... and they won the states competition and performed at the national symposium! how cool is that? maybe, next time show you all the video... hehe..
there was an invited Malaysian guess who performed 2 songs with her too(playing the bass)! (but i forgot his name.. hehe.. paiseh..)

There's a little history about Jazz Vocalist Nah Youn Sun:
Text:
NAH YOUN SUN, Korean Vocalist- Born in Seoul in1969, the daughter of a choir director and an opera singer. Nah Youn Sun started her musical career with the Korean Symphony Orchestra at the age of 23, having never studied singing before. She then performed in numerous Korean musicals on a national stage, for which she has received numerous awards.
However, because of all its constraints she did not find that musical environments fulfilling. She decided to go to Paris in 1995 to study jazz and French song at the CIM school—one of the oldest jazz schools in the French capital— and at the National Music Institute of Beauvais, and at the Nadia and Lili Boulanger Conservatory.
Her fondness for jazz revealed itself when she started playing in Parisian jazz clubs in 1996–97
with David Georgelet and Yoni Zelnik (who still play together today). She attracted considerable attention, notably by Jacques Vidal who invited her on his record Ramblin (1999).
She received numerous prizes (Jazz à La Defense, Saint-Maur, Montmartre), and continued to comb jazz clubs and participate in festivals. In addition to this French life, Youn Sun performed in Korea. In Seoul, she created her own production company, Bis Music, where— as a leader—she produced two records distributed by Sony Music.
In Paris, she worked almost exclusively with her quintet whose records are produced by the independent label In Circum Girum.
In five years, Nah Youn Sun has recorded four albums (two of which are exclusively distributed in Korea) and has extensively performed in various jazz festivals in France, Europe, and Korea.
In 2003 she was named Jazz Artist of the Year by the Korean audience and media. A few months before, she was featured with her quintet on a program for ARTE Channel called Paris Jazz Club – Rue des Lombard. In 2004, the release of Nah Youn Sun 5TET’s So I Am... It was widely celebrated by French audiences as well as the press, who regarded her as one of the most remarkable singer

this one also nice..

Interesting Fact:
Officially, the name "Glay" is a deliberate misspelling of the word "gray" and represents the style of music they wanted to play: a mixture between rock (black) and pop (white). However, it is thought by many English-speaking residents that the misspelling of the band's name may actually have been due to a genuine error, and the official reason was only decided in retrospect. In support of this, they point out that confusing the R and L is a very common mistake amongst Japanese speakers of English, because the Japanese language does not distinguish between the retroflex ("r") and lateral ("l") phonemes of the liquid morpheme. ^^
~cheers to Glay, who made me fell in lov with the cool electric guitar~

An Awesome Experience!

(November 03, 2006 at 08:01 AM)
Imagine...
The strings each taking their turns,
Gradually uniting and building the climax
The cello plucked and hopped
Screeching as they hit the bridge
Unexpectedly gentle to the ears
The woodwinds pulling you forward
Like a magnet of unknown powers
The sound of the piccolo singing like a bird
The flutes skip along
The harps play angelically, I felt like in heaven,
The horns and trumpets,
Majestically making their stand,
The drum rolls,
The symbol claps… marking- the end.
I've attended many musical performances,
And today,
today was by far THE MOST AWESOME performance!!
